VATICAN CITY, NOV. 7, 2011 (Zenit.org).- While Oct. 31 found those in some circles worried over the birth that day of the 7 billionth person on earth (according to United Nations calculations), the Vatican spokesman had a different message for the child: You are unique and special, you are a wonderful gift, you are a miracle, and so you are welcome.

1. Masing-masing dari kita pasti punya cerita yang luar biasa saat kita dilahirkan oleh mama kita ke dunia ini. Mungkin ada yang lahir di pesawat, atau lahir kembar, atau proses kelahirannya sangat susah, atau diberikan nama yang spesial oleh orang tua, dan aneka macam skenario lain. Sharingkan ceritamu dan apa perasaanmu sewaktu kamu diceritakan tentang proses kelahiranmu ini.      

2. Tuhan menciptakan kamu sebagai individu yang unik. Menurutmu, apakah yang membuatmu unik? (misalnya talenta yang kamu miliki, atau kemampuan spesial/indera ke-6, atau intelektualitas, dll)

3. Di Mat 22:39 ada tertulis “Kasihilah sesamamu manusia seperti dirimu sendiri.” Semuanya dimulai dari dirimu. Jika kamu sudah mengasihi dirimu, maka kasihmu dapat mengalir kepada orang lain. Apakah kamu sudah mengasihi dirimu? Jika jawabanmu ya, bagaimana caranya kamu mengasihi dirimu?
 
4.  Apakah kamu pernah menolong seseorang, mungkin saudara, teman atau orang yang baru kamu kenal, menyadari bahwa dirinya unik dan berharga di mata Tuhan? Atau mungkin kamu pernah memberikan advice untuk seseorang yang ingin melakukan tindakan ekstrim (misalnya aborsi atau suicide) sehingga orang tersebut akhirnya membatalkan niatnya? Apa perasaanmu ketika kamu memberikan advice ini kepada orang lain? 

5.  Apa pendapatmu tentang isi artikel di atas yang menulis populasi dunia sekarang ini sudah mencapai 7 billion? Apakah fakta ini relevan untukmu atau bisa mempengaruhi tindakanmu untuk kedepannya?

We are People of God!
 
Then what is unique about the People of God?
– The founder of this people is God the Father
– Its leader is Jesus Christ
– Its source of strength is the Holy Spirit
– The entryway to the People of God is Baptism
– Its dignity is the freedom of the children of God
– Its law is LOVE
– If this people remains faithful to God and seeks first the kingdom of God, it changes the world.
